No more Download Links in MULTIPLY.COM

16 January 2008 7 Comments

I don’t maintain a Multiply.com account because I am already a Facebook.com slave, but I go to Multiply to download songs. So today, I was about to download songs in Haida’s Domain but noticed that the download links were gone. I thought, I just have to log-in, so I did. But still the download links were not there. Only at that time I figured that Multiply had removed this feature and this will really be a bad news for everyone who’s downloading free songs instead of buying them.

Sigh, I have a lot of download links in this page. But if you are patient enough to do some tweaking, maybe you can do what was posted in this multiply blog.

In another post, this information was shared.

When you go to Post.. Music, to upload, there is a statement there that still states the following:

By clicking upload, you certify that these files do not violate Multiply’s Terms of Service and that you own all copyrights or have express permission from all copyright owners to upload them.

The Terms still state as follows also:

….promotes an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person’s copyrighted work, such as providing pirated computer programs or links to them, providing information to circumvent manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices, or providing pirated music or links to pirated music files;

As I said, I don’t maintain my Multiply.com account so I have no idea what’s going on until I found the posts mentioned above.

    my classmate taught me this.. download the whole playlist then when you downloaded/saved the playlist, right-click then click open with and choose notepad.. as you can see there it has the url.. use the url to download the songs.. it starts with http:// so there is no problem with that..
    just try it..hope this is helpful..

    oh dear. because windows media player in vista allows you to save individual songs from playlists.

    maybe you can look for a friend with a vista system and download off his/hers and transfer them to yourself via a thumbdrive.

    Thanks for all the info. Yeah I find it so disappointing also when I try to download Korean OST in EJJI’s Site and found out that it is not already featured in multiply. To nadalala….i guess the one u mentioned is only applicable for VISTA users becoz i tried playing the entire list myself and saved it in another folder but it still can’t be played in windows media player..

    I’ve found a way to beat the multiply system. When you click play entire playlist, it opens up into your windows media player. while it plays thru the song, there will be a blue download bar tt runs through the “seek” bar. when download from the website is complete, the blue bar disappears. you can den click “file” then “save as” into your desired folder and skip to the next song and allow that to load. if you have a quick connection, it shouldn’t take you more than 20mins to download around 8 songs or so.

    I run vista so hope this helps. i really enjoy your lyrics so i hope my information will help you too.
